The river in Station’s mark draws an S. Its shape gives the site a visual identity: flowing water, clear contours, and a view of the surrounding context.

QUESTIONS

Common questions.

Is Station a model?+

No. Station is a workspace for agents and models. Use Station agents with your chosen model, or connect an external agent such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or Kiro.

Does local-first mean everything is offline?+

Your Station runtime data lives on your machine. Data can leave when you configure and use a hosted provider or an export endpoint. You choose those connections.

What’s the difference between a Task and a Session?+

A Task is durable work with its project context, files, artifacts, and receipts. A Session is one execution attempt. A Task can have multiple Sessions.

What is a receipt?+

A receipt records what ran, what passed or failed, and what remains unverified. It stays beside the work it describes.

How do I get started?+

Station is in active development. Its getting-started guide covers the macOS and Linux installer, prerequisites, and first launch. Repository access is currently required.
